Pioneer Woman Garlic Bread

Pioneer Woman Garlic Bread

Garlic bread has Italian-American roots, inspired by bruschetta and other garlic-rubbed bread traditions. Over the years, it evolved into the beloved side dish we know today, often served alongside pasta dishes. The Pioneer Woman’s version keeps things straightforward—using real butter, fresh garlic, and parsley to achieve a flavorful, crispy, and aromatic loaf.

Ingredients

  • French bread (1 large loaf)

  • Unsalted butter (½ cup, softened)

  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)

  • Fresh parsley (2 tbsp, chopped)

  • Salt (½ tsp)

  • Black pepper (¼ tsp)

  • Parmesan cheese (optional, ¼ cup, grated)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the loaf

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Place cut sides facing up on a baking sheet.

Step 2: Make the garlic butter

In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth and spreadable.

Step 3: Spread the mixture

Spread garlic butter evenly over both bread halves. For extra richness, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Step 4: Bake

Bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and butter is melted. For crispier garlic bread, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.

Step 5: Slice and serve

Slice into thick pieces and serve warm alongside pasta, soups, or roasted meats.
