Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Crisps

Pioneer Woman Cinnamon Crisps - recipe card

These buttery, crispy cinnamon-sugar crisps are the perfect accompaniment to your morning coffee or as a party snack. They’re quick to assemble with just a few kitchen staples, delivering a satisfying crunch with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 small flour tortillas (6-inch)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper for even baking and easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and kosher salt until evenly mixed. Set aside.
  3. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the melted butter over one side of each tortilla. Be sure to cover the entire surface so the sugar mixture sticks evenly.
  4. Sprinkle each buttered tortilla evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use about 1 to 1.5 teaspoons per tortilla, tilting to coat the entire surface.
  5. Stack the tortillas on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut each into 8 wedges, as you would for pizza. Alternatively, cut into strips for a different shape.
  6. Arrange the wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, being careful not to overlap them; overlapping leads to steaming rather than crisping.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes, then rotate the pans to ensure even browning. Continue baking for another 5 to 10 minutes, until the crisps are golden brown and dry to the touch.
  8. The crisps may appear slightly soft when you remove them from the oven, but they will crisp up as they cool. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  9. Transfer the crisps to a wire rack to cool completely. They will continue to crisp as they reach room temperature.
  10. Once completely cool, serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. They are excellent for dipping or just as a crunchy snack.

Notes

Store baked cinnamon crisps in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If you want to keep them crisp, do not refrigerate. For longer storage, you can freeze them in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months, and re-crisp in a 350°F (177°C) oven for 3-4 minutes if desired.
